​Harvest Festival Service 2024

​Our Harvest Festival Service was held at Southwick Church on Sunday 6th October 2024.  Our worship was led by the Reverend Oonagh Dee.  Huge thanks must go to Christine Milligan and her team, Scilla Dennis, Louise Kenyon, Margaret Mactaggart and Sarah Rowe for the superb decorations in the Church.  Many thanks must also go to William Millar for his inspirational words at the start of the Service, Caroline Roberson who read the First Lesson, Louise Kenyon for her 'Glimpses of Farming Life', Faith Sinclair and Tallulah Rennie for reading the Second Lesson and Scilla Dennis for leading our prayers of Thanksgiving and Intercession.  Update: The produce from the Service was donated to the Salvation Army in Dumfries.  The fresh fruit and veg has been used for young families.  The Salvation Army have shared with us that parents are returning to cooking meals with fresh foods, with no additives, at the Samba Tots group.  Soup has also been made for chaotic people.  The tins and packets have been given to the Salvation Army food bank at the Donation Charity Shop on the Glasgow Road.
