The Southwick Roll of Honour
During the course of the 1st World War the congregation at Southwick began to keep a list of servicemen with connections to the parish and congregation. Their name, regiment, rank and, where relevant, date of death were recorded on a Roll of Honour printed by the Church of Scotland. At a later date this appears to have been cut into pieces and used to create a home-made Roll of Honour. This was filled in alphabetical order with later entries placed in between original entries when room ran out. Those who died during the war and whose names appear on the War Memorial are marked with a crossed circle.
We have been able to identify many of those named and realise their connection with the parish.
Any further information such as names, regiment and uniform identity would be appreciated.
