Jesus' Journey to Jericho
Wednesday morning meetings at the Manse during November from 10.30 - 12 noon
The town of Jericho lies between Galilee and Jerusalem. Jesus travelled through it on his last journey to Jerusalem.
Modern Jericho is one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world and still surrounded by ancient walls. It was at one of the town gates that Jesus met blind Bartimaeus and outside the town that he met Zacchaeus who climbed a sycamore tree. Afterwards while speaking to the crowds he told them the Parable of the Gold Coins. The hill road from Jericho to Jerusalem was the setting of his Parable of the Good Samaritan. |
Our meetings are a time for sharing and learning together through the teachings and promises of the Lord Jesus.
