Holy Week Services Tuesday 15th April: Devotional Half Hour Service at Colvend Church at 11 a.m. Thursday 17th April: Maundy Thursday. Holy Communion Service at Southwick Church at 7 p.m. Friday 18th April: A Three Hour Liturgy at Colvend Church from 12-3 p.m. (Stay for as long or as short a time as you wish.) Sunday 20th April: Easter Day - Holy Communion Service at Colvend Church at 11 a.m. If you would like to dedicate a hymn book in either of our churches to somebody - in memoriam/in celebration of/baptism/marriage or special occasion, please contact us on cskenquiries@outlook.com
We meet to worship God every Sunday morning in Colvend and Southwick Churches. They are beacons of hope for all in the Parish, as the love of God in Jesus Christ is proclaimed in ways which connect the greatest love story on earth, about sacrifice, self-denial and service, with life in the 21st century.
I invite you to come inside these walls and be with our Congregation whose hope and prayer is to be a channel of God’s peace. Here you will experience friendship and fellowship alongside the transforming love of Jesus Christ in the Sacraments and in Scripture. ‘Come unto me,’ said Jesus, ‘all of you who are heavy-laden and I will give you rest. Dumfries Male Voice Choir
On Friday 4th April 2025, we were extremely privileged to have the Dumfries Male Voice Choir perform an Evening Concert for us in Colvend Church. The Conductor was Rory Robson and the Accompanist Declan McGarva. We were also entertained by two soloists - on piano, Euan Edment and on accordion, Bob Watson. Our Retiring Offerings at Christmas were donated to Dumfriesshire & Stewartry Women’s Aid
